The significant growth of mobility, the growing, global emphasis in the healthcare industry to cut costs and improve patient outcomes, and the rising demand for quality care all play a role in the huge potential for mobile solutions provided by healthcare payers and providers. This revolution has already begun. Physicians globally and especially in the U.S. are recommending mobile health apps to patients. According to an eClinic survey of 2,291 doctors in January 2013, 89% of physicians would recommend a mobile health app to patients and 65% of physicians would recommend use of mobile health apps for medication adherence.
