Kony Announces Asia Pacific and Japan Expansion

Enterprise Mobility Leader Helps Customers Accelerate Mobile Adoption and Forges Strategic Partnerships in the Asia Pacific and Japan Region

TOKYO, Japan, July 12, 2015Kony, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced its intention to expand its Asia Pacific and Japan business and provide industry-leading enterprise mobility solutions to organizations across the region.

As part of the company’s plans to grow its market presence in Asia Pacific and Japan, Kony has forged partnerships with major technology and telecommunications solutions providers across the region to deliver enterprise-grade mobility solutions, including SoftBank (Japan) and Telstra (Australia/New Zealand). SoftBank and Telstra are also both Kony investors.

Kony has recently increased its base of new customers in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, and are helping companies such as DBS Bank, Yodabashi, and Swire Beverages execute on their mobile strategy with innovative mobile applications with enhanced user experiences.

To help support the growth of the Asia Pacific and Japan market, the company is accelerating its investment in new sales and technical experts. In addition, Kony is offering its enterprise mobility solutions through the company’s cloud footprint in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Earlier this year, Kony appointed SAP Head of Cloud and Mobile Solutions Steven Medeiros as vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Middle East. Since joining in October of last year, Steve has hired mobile experts in Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Singapore and China to service our existing and new customers in the region.

On July 31st, Kony president of Field Operations Blake Salle will speak at SoftBank World 2015 in Tokyo, Japan.
