Last week, Kony unveiled our Next-Generation Digital Banking solution to the public. Starting in the spring of 2018, we will release our next-gen digital banking platform and suite of apps, which will help banks and credit unions cost effectively deliver seamless customer-first experiences across all of their banking services and channels. We’ve been working hard to deliver on this promise.

Kony recently helped Loop Med, Inc. (Loop), develop a custom mobile app that allows surgical teams to easily and securely communicate with a patients’ loved ones.

In light of this morning’s announcement regarding our latest product release, I wanted to share something that we here at Kony are very excited about: for the first time ever, we’ve opened our BETA version to the developer community.

More businesses are realizing the importance of mobile apps, but are discovering deploying and managing apps in their business is not as easy as they had thought. To gauge the state of apps in the enterprise, we recently partnered with Wakefield Research to conduct a global survey of more than 1,000 line-of-business executives, Their answers revealed that the majority of respondents are still unsatisfied with the apps they have due to challenges around user experience, cost, and ongoing maintenance. In addition, trust in IT is dismal with fewer than 1 in 5 of respondents saying they would work with their in-house IT department.

Kony and QuinScape recently held an App Playground event in Germany, during which new mobile app developers had a chance to get hands-on with Kony Visualizer and create their very own working app.

Earlier this month we saw several key announcements at WWDC 2017 by Apple for iOS11 and other Apple advanced technologies. This follows earlier announcements by Google about the Android “O” OS release, so we wanted to share a summary of the recent key news you should be aware of, along with the approach and timing for Kony to provide compatibility and support via our Kony OS update program.
