Cloud Management Console Hotfix

Maintenance window: March 26, 2018 12:00 to 16:00 UTC
Impacted Cloud services:
  • Cloud Management Console

    • Fix issue in older version of Chrome (v33) for Visualizer 7.x users having different rule-set than latest versions. There was a violation where a single key was duplicated in an object. This was causing issue with our ‘strict’ rule check introduced for ES6 compliance, only in the older browser version.

No downtime is expected while this maintenance is being performed. The scheduled maintenance is designed to mitigate disruptions to service availability and performance. However, it is possible for the impacted service(s) to be unavailable and/or performance degraded for a short period of time during the maintenance window.

Engagement Services - Virginia unavailability

Incident window: March 20, 2018 15:30 to 16:50 UTC
Impacted Cloud services:
  • Engagement services

    • Customers using services in the Virginia region

    • Increased errors when accessing the service

    • Users would experience UI errors when viewing static content


Impact Level : high

[16:15 UTC] Engagement services in the Virginia region were unavailable between 15:30 until 15:54 UTC due to an increase in errors occurring in a dependent service provided by our infrastructure hosting provider. We have since restored Engagement services API access to systems and devices across regions, but users may experience UI issues when viewing static content until our hosting provider can address the underlying errors. We are continuing to monitor closely.

[17:12 UTC] Resolved. Our hosting provider addressed the underlying errors as of 16:50 UTC. Users should no longer experience UI issues when viewing static content. We will continue to closely monitor Engagement services in Virginia.

Visualizer prototype publishing - increased error rates

    • Increase in prototype publish failures


Impact Level : medium

[16:42 UTC] Resolved. Between 15:14 and 15:45 UTC, we detected an increase in Visualizer prototype publish attempts. The services have since been restored and we will continue to monitor closely. Anyone who experienced a publish failure can retry at this time.

Engagement Services Hotfix

    • Performance and stability improvements for Bulk Push. The Bulk Push response payload now includes a request ID, which can be used to query the status of the Bulk Push operation. For more details about the Bulk Push operation, please refer the Kony Engagement API guide.

Management Services Hotfix - US Virginia

    • For US Virginia region only (hotfix was already applied on Februrary 26 for Management services in other regions)

    • Fix login issue after first installation resulting in redirection to Kony Cloud login page.

    • ⚠️An Enterprise Store upgrade is required by all users if you are experiencing the issue above.

    • Fix inability to use Enterprise Apps in China.

    • ⚠️Required customer apps need to be re-wrapped if you are experiencing the issue above.


Impact Level : high

We anticipate that Management services in US Virginia will be unavailable for a portion of the maintenance window. Other Cloud services are not anticipated to be affected during the maintenance window. The scheduled maintenance is designed for minimal disruption of service availability; however, it is possible for your service(s) to be unavailable for a short period of time during the maintenance window.

Cloud Management Console Release

    • Add ability to view associated jars for published services. For environments listed under Environments tab, a new option ‘Published Apps’ is now available which allows one to view all the Apps published to that environment. When a particular app is clicked, the list of services published in context of the app will be displayed along with an option to view associated jars.

    • Stabilization and defect fixes
