Identity Services V8 SP3 FP1 Release

Maintenance window: October 15, 2018 00:01 to 04:00
The maintenance window start and end times are local to the region in which your Clouds are hosted. If you are unsure where your Clouds are hosted, you can hover over a Cloud Name in the Manage Clouds page of the Cloud Management Console and the region will be displayed.
Impacted Cloud services:
  • Identity Services

    • Fix unexpected error from Gateway while hitting services from admin console.

    • Fix Token Expired exception when using a native application continuously more for than 15-20 minutes.


Impact Level : minor

No downtime is expected for the impacted Cloud services while this maintenance is being performed. The scheduled maintenance is designed to mitigate disruptions to service availability and performance for the impacted Cloud services. However, it is possible for the impacted Cloud services to be unavailable and/or performance degraded for a short period of time during the maintenance window. Note that no changes are being applied for other Cloud services outside of the list of impacted services above and no service availability or performance disruption is expected for other Cloud services as part of this maintenance.

Workspace services - Virginia performance degradation

Impact Level : high

Workspace services performance in Virginia is significantly degraded and would impact Fabric console response times and certain activities such as application publishes.

[2018-10-09 12:00 UTC] Resolved. Workspace services performance in Virginia was degraded between 9:13 UTC and 10:14 UTC. Since then, performance has been restored to normal operating levels. We are continuing to monitor closely.

    • JS file upload failing in new version of chrome.

    • JS pre/post processor error not disappearing after some time.

    • Refresh on access control page for services not handled properly.

    • Distorted UI in Safari browser in Operation details page.

    • Code Mirror instances created for object service verb.

    • Object generate Modal loader is not positioned properly.

    • Session Duration is set to empty under Service Configuration in API Management.

    • Description field in Fox news service example is showing full.

    • Metadata fetch of CustomDataAdapter is calling admin API without selecting any environment.

    • Enable XPath Mapping for SOAP Services.

    • Need Ok button in service definition validation pop-up.

    • Publish via Visualizer - Environment listing with empty data.

Workspace services performance in Virginia is significantly degraded and would impact Fabric console response times and certain activities such as application publishes.

[2018-10-04 11:26 UTC] Workspace services performance in Virginia began degraded performance between 9:30 UTC and ongoing. We are working on the fix and will be continuing to monitor the service closely.

[2018-10-05 2:00 UTC] Resolved. Workspace services performance in Virginia were degraded between October 4, 2018 from 9:30 UTC and October 5, 2018 1:30 UTC. Since then, services have been restored to normal operating levels. We are continuing to monitor until a fix can be provided.

Workspace services performance in Virginia is significantly degraded and would impact certain activities such as application publishes.

[2018-10-03 15:22 UTC] Resolved. Workspace services performance in Virginia was degraded between 10:32 UTC and 14:15 UTC. Since then, performance has been restored to normal operating levels. We are continuing to monitor the service closely.

Kony Cloud Analytics - maintenance

Maintenance window: October 2, 2018 22:00 UTC to October 3, 2018 13:00 UTC
Impacted Cloud services:
  • Kony Cloud Analytics


    Impact Level : medium

    Our Analytics system will be under maintenance for approximately 12 hours. Analytics will continue to be collected during the maintenance window, but the processing of new event data will be paused during this time. Kony Cloud standard and custom reports will continue to be available during the window, but will not contain newly ingested data until the maintenance has been completed.

    [2018-10-03 10:45 UTC] The processing of analytics data was resumed as of 04:41 UTC. We estimate that the processing of all data that had been collected will be completed by 12:41 UTC. We have extended the maintenance window to 13:00 UTC.

    [2018-10-03 14:48 UTC] The processing of all remaining analytics data had been completed within the window.

    Fabric services - intermittent connectivity issues in Frankfurt region

    Incident window: October 1, 2018 16:21 to 16:31 UTC and 16:41 to 16:51 UTC

    • Fabric services in Frankfurt region


    Impact Level : high

    Intermittent connectivity issues to Fabric services in the Frankfurt region are occurring. Services in other regions are unaffected.

    [18:01 UTC] Resolved. Our infrastructure provider has identified and resolved the underlying issue causing intermittent network connectivity issues to Fabric services in the Frankfurt region. The issues occurred during 16:21 to 16:31 UTC and 16:41 to 16:51 UTC. Network connectivity for affected services has now been restored. We are continuing to monitor closely.

    Fabric services - increased error rates in Ireland region

      Impact Level : high

      We are investigating increased error rates for Fabric services in the Ireland region that could lead to performance degradation and intermittent connectivity failures. Services in other regions are unaffected.

      [10:28 UTC] Resolved. Fabric services in the Ireland region were experiencing high error rates between 7:15 and 9:59 UTC that have been identified and resolved by our infrastructure provider. Performance and availability of the affected services has since been restored to normal operating levels. We are continuing to monitor closely.
