MobileFabric 7.3.1 Release

    • Stabilization and defect fixes

    • Support for ‘otherwise’ in Choose-When block when adding Request/Response Mapping for Object Services

    • Fix for testing of operations with Japanese characters from Console failing

  • Management services

    • Fix for App Inventory Report is not getting generated properly with the default columns in MAM-Only License

  • Engagement services

    • Mobile Number is now mandatory for users only when it is selected as the reconciliation key; else it is optional

    • On importing geo-fences, existing ones get updated and new ones get added. Earlier, an error was thrown for existing geo-fences

    • Enhancements to message status:

    • When messages (SMS, email, and pass) are not delivered within specified expiry date, system displays status as Undelivered under the Status column with status message: Request is expired.

    • When Retry Push Message attempts reaches maximum number as specified in Settings, system displays status as Undelivered under the Status column with status message: Reached the maximum retry attempts.

    • Information about tags has been added in response to FindNearestLocation API


Impact Level : medium

No significant downtime is expected, though we anticipate a brief outage for Engagement services as part of this deployment. Identity Services SSL Certificate Rotation

Maintenance window: May 10, 2017 20:00 UTC to May 11, 2017 00:00 UTC
Impacted Cloud services:
  • SSL Certificate for Identity Services (*.auth.konycloud.com)

  • Note: Customers with pinned certificates will need to pull the new certificate prior to the rotation by executing the following command:

    • openssl s client -connect konycertificatepreview-581651926.us-east-2.elb.amazonaws.com:443 -showcerts

    • The new certificate will have the same public key as the existing certificate.

    • We suggest submitting your application(s) following an expedited approval process (e.g., Apple has an expedited approval process for critical bugs, or in this case, pinned certs).

Reporting Services Availability Issues

Engagement Services Hotfix

Availability of Engagement services in US Virginia

  • We are experiencing availability issues for Engagement services in US Virginia for ~100 tenants

  • Engagement services in other regions are unaffected

[13:16 UTC] Availability issues detected.

[13:51 UTC] We are working toward restoring the service.

[17:49 UTC] Resolved. Service was restored at 14:34 UTC. Due to popularity of the service, we had reached capacity on the Virginia cluster. We have accommodated for the additional demand and will be continuing to monitor.

    • Improved GIT integration through improved package and exported file formats

    • Support for aggregation scenarios in mapper

    • Import data adapters directly from Kony Marketplace

    • Improved user experiences for MobileFabric Console

  • Management services

    • Eliminate Launchpad upgrade on new enterprise app for iOS.

    • From iOS9 there was a restriction that caused Launchpad to be upgraded for every new enterprise app that was published.

    • This has been addressed with a redesign.

    • Differentiate hard and soft root for Android devices managed by EMM and allow soft rooted device status to be re-evaluated on device reboot.

    • Earlier device status would be permanently set as rooted even for soft root, preventing those devices from registering with EMM even after removing the issue that caused soft root.

    • IP address validation.

    • All IP address/hostnames that are connected to/from EMM server will be validated for private/public.

    • Private addresses are validated to match approved VPN list.

    • Launchpad binary changed to 64 bit.

    • From iOS 10.1, OS throws a warning for 32 bit binaries (which are half the size)

    • Fix averts popup, which was affecting user experience.

    • Adding Analytics to non Kony app.

    • Added feature to inject analytics SDK into apps built outside of Kony tools and MobileFabric to view the application usage and other metrics for the app.

    • Note: Launchpad upgrade is required

  • Engagement services

    • Capability to export/import the events, templates, and geo-boundaries to other lower or higher environments.

    • Support bulk upload of geo-boundaries into the engagement server from an external file.

    • Provide the capability to delete all the geo-boundaries that are contained in the engagement server.

    • Support the creation and retrieval of the geo-boundaries using additional data parameters like tags, client action, and metadata.

    • Support for the FCM in the engagement server for android push messages.

    • Support the deletion of the existing subscribers in engagement server.

    • Enhance the subscriber details API to support the retrieval of subscriber details using the osType and subscription status as input.

Cloud Management Console Hotfix
