Management Services Hotfix

Cloud Management Console Hotfix

    • Fix to resolve issue: unable to Map response with collection for Database service

    • For RDBMS integration service, when generating the service definition, we don’t add the collection parameters. While this does not cause issues at runtime as RDBMS data adapter doesn’t rely on this, when this service is consumed from an SDO and we try to generate the mapper, we go wrong. The mapper generation logic relies on these parameters. End result SDO on top of an RDBMS integration service doesn’t behave correctly. Making changes to stamp the collection information explicitly in the service def.

Trial Cloud creation has been disabled

Incident window: March 09, 2017 12:17 UTC to March 09, 2017 15:25 UTC

  • Trial Cloud creation

    • We have temporarily disabled the ability to create trial Clouds. Any requests made will be recorded and once we re-enable trial Cloud creation we will process the recorded requests.


Impact Level : high

[12:17 UTC] We are encountering an issue with our Cloud hosting provider when creating new Clouds. Existing Clouds are not affected. We have temporarily disabled the ability to create trial Clouds until we can investigate and resolve the issue. As mentioned above, any trial Cloud creation attempt will be recorded and we will process them once we re-enable.

[15:25 UTC] Resolved. We have identified the issue, which is isolated and impacting only a small set of accounts we have with our hosting provider. Trial Cloud creation has been re-enabled and we will continue to monitor for any creation failures.

Increased error rates for Clouds in North America

[18:05 UTC] AWS acknowledged high error rates for many of their services in US Virginia and has identified root cause. Kony recommends refraining from performing any application publishing until this incident has been resolved. We are closely monitoring.

[23:49 UTC] Resolved. Our provider, AWS, has resolved the issue. Application and Prototype publishing may resume.

Increased error rates for AWS S3 in US Virginia

Impact Level : high

[18:05 UTC] AWS acknowledged high error rates for S3 in US Virginia. We are closely monitoring. Kony teams should refrain from performing any deployments until this incident has been resolved.

[20:00 UTC] Our provider, AWS, believes they have identified the root cause and working toward remediation. We will continue to closely monitor.

[22:08 UTC] Resolved. Our provider, AWS, has resolved the issue. Deployments can be resumed.

Cloud Management Console Hotfix

    • Fix issue where publish snapshot is getting deleted instead of republishing

    • Fix issue where unable to test adapter services with identity when cloud display name and host name are different

    • Support for viewing publish history and publishing an older snapshot

    • Functional enhancements to object services to support:

    • Ordering of fields

    • Support for testing identity protected integration services from Console

    • Management experience for custom code and codeless data adapters

    • Export / import enhancements

    • Prettifying the files in exported app package

    • Ignoring extra files in import package

    • Improved user experience

    • Stabilization and defect fixes

Identity Services Hotfix

Maintenance window: February 27, 2017 05:01 UTC to February 27, 2017 09:00 UTC
The maintenance window start and end times are local to the region in which your Clouds are hosted. If you are unsure where your Clouds are hosted, you can hover over a Cloud Name in the Manage Clouds page of the Cloud Management Console and the region will be displayed.

  • Identity Services

    • Fix issue occuring when trying to republish snapshot after reconfiguring app key.

    • A validation error is returned indicating, “Another app with the same name or with the same app key is published to this environment. Please retry publish after renaming the app or modifying the app key”.

    • As a workaround until this fix has been deployed, customers can wait 30 minutes after performing a publish (for cache to expire) to perform any subsequent publishes.

    • Fix wrapping breaking app, caused by a defect in one of our third-party libraries, which has now been patched, reported in Ticket 80351

    • If you are encountering this issue, you will need to rewrap your application

    • Launchpad upgrade is not required
